Union Election Set at United

The National Mediation Board has authorized a representation election for flight attendants at United Airlines, seven months after the closing of the merger between United and Continental Airlines, according to Crain’s Chicago Business. Flight attendants will choose whether to be represented by theAssociation of Flight Attendants, which represents flight attendants from United Airlines; the International Association of Machinists, which represents flight attendants from Continental Airlines; a write-in option or no representation. The election will have about 25,000 participants and voting will run May 17 through June 29, the article said.
