111229_uaw-vw_hmed_0738pVolkswagen is currently refusing to bargain with the UAW as the representative of 165 skilled maintenance workers at its Chattanooga plant. They took it a step further in late December when they filed for an appeal of the NLRB decision that determined the unit size. VW officials would like the vote to be recast to include all 1,400 production and maintenance workers at the facility, although the likelihood of that is minimal with the members sitting on Board today.
