I wanted to drop you a line to let you know about the terrific job Joe Brock and LRI did for our employees. Joe was extremely knowledgeable, easy to work with and has great interpersonal skills that allow him to genuinely connect with employees at all levels. Our facilities mechanics and custodians were so appreciate of his work and the information he shared that he received many hugs, handshakes and thank yous on the last day. Joe also left management with a lot to think about and a road map of what needs to be done differently. Our employees ultimately voted to overwhelmingly defeat the Teamsters 43-no to 3-yes that allows us to continue to work directly with our employees in their best interest giving the us the opportunity to make things right. Joe was a great partner to HR as well, collaborating on the strategy and actions needed to make the union campaign a success. Thank you again for the great service. Although I do not own a company any more, and never did have more than four employees, I never had a good interaction with a union. I appreciate this site because it's good to know that business owners can get help in dealing with unions. I believe that in spite of some good results from union efforts in our nation's history, the bottom lien score for unions overall are about a minus-5 on a scale of minus 10 to plus 10. If I had a large company here in Florida, I'd be watching out for unions very much, because our Governor is on the make for a presidential bid, and he's a RINO. Even though our state is RTW, that can change. It is good to have a resource like the Labor Relations Institute for companies that need help, especially when our so-called President has never seen a law he won't break for his own advantage.

Always interested in hearing how the Forced Choice Act is progressing. I realy do not like allowing unions access to employees on company property.

UAW president and eternal flower child Bob King used the 75th anniversary of the Flint sit-down strike to veer his union back towards its socialist roots last week, calling on all UAW members in an impassioned speech to take “direct action” (union parlance for breaking the law) against the evil 1%, starting with, oddly enough, General Electric stockholders.

“It will take direct action. It will take us being willing to face arrest. It will take us being willing to be part of marches and demonstrations,” King told a crowd of 500 cheering UAW retirees many of whom may need assistance getting back up if they do indeed dare to attempt a sit-down protest. King announced the UAW is joining with SEIU, Occupy Wall Street
