The SEIU has a reputation for demanding strict loyalty to their agenda and leadership, which is centered around building membership at any expense. This has created several strategies that diminish the very reason unions are supposed to exist, which is for the protection and benefit of it’s members. For this, the United Healthcare Workers West has been confronting SEIU leadership.
Here is some great video created by UHW West who discovered an office set up and ready to take over their local, even prior to a vote, indicating that under typical top-down, Stern-driven leadership demands, the vote by the Executive Board was a foregone conclusion.














All i can say about seiu is that while a member of local 24/7 in Sacramento Ca. for SIX years i received no rep. from this union,…just dues taken out..no visits unable to e mail local..VERY outdated website.Guardsmark was the only security company unionized here so maybe thats why..but the JANITORS and STATE WORKERS sure saw the “Purple Flood”…go figure laid off since Sept. of 09.At least the Teamsters in the sixties with all it’s faults had comradship ,halls …and JOBS my dad was an old WOBBLY..seiu is a joke…my faith in unions is low.Period.
