…and the fireworks fly! Apparently prodded by SEIU International, an International-appointed (ie. not local-elected) board member attempted to oust from the local one of the leaders of the petition drive. Another fellow local member said of the International’s actions:
“This is an outrage! I cannot believe that I am witnessing an appointed un-elected board attempting to outcast my elected representative. These are the actions I would expect to see from a third world dictatorship, not a democratic organization. I find the recent actions of the SEIU shameful and un-American.”
The saga is ongoing, as the local member has had to now file ULP charges against his local to defend himself against the move by the International pawn to have him removed from the local.
You gotta love the irony.
