Labor Unions are not faring too well with the American People, with only 52% of citizens giving them a favorable vote. This is the second lowest polling outcome for labor unions in Gallup’s 70 years history, behind last year’s 48% approval rating. I suppose if you are looking at the glass as half-full, unions did get a 4% boost in approval this year. But Labor’s outlook does not appear to be getting any better. “Regardless of their preference, Americans by a nearly 2-to-1 margin predict union influence will decline in the future.” Many people believe such low polling is due to the poor economy and the unions not being in touch with “real America.”
