Health Care Reform = Rainmaker for SEIU

When discerning the motivation behind any Big Labor action or position, it is always necessary to dig to the where the money enters the picture.  Knowing that Big Labor doesn’t really concern itself with the well being of the “members” it serves (I use that term looseley), one would wonder why Big Labor, and especially the CNA and SEIU, would spend so much effort (and money) on lobbying for government health care.

The Heritage Foundation did a great job in connecting the dots.  If health care becomes run by the government, it won’t be long before all health care employees are in a similar situation as teachers:  employees of a public system, and thus members of a monopoly and easier to organize, since “competition” leaves the equasion.

SEIU must be salivating!  Can you imagine an entire industry of that magnitude turned into a public enterprise, and the SEIU already deeply entrenched?  Can you imagine if government health care was coupled with the EFCA?  What a train wreck for the American healthcare system!
