EFCA: “We’ve Got Troubles” Says Senator Hatch

by | Sep 19, 2008 | Employee Free Choice Act

While addressing the HR Policy Association Washington Policy conference last week, Orrin Hatch (R-UT) commented on the Employee Free Choice Act, “when the ends are all the matter, we’ve got troubles.” He highlighted the intimidation fostered by the card check system, and warned of the compulsory arbitration aspect of the bill.

At the same conference, HR Policy Chairman Randy MacDonald, Senior VP, Human Resources at IBM, told the HR leaders they were likely to face challenges unlike any HR leaders have faced in decades. Topping the list of such challenges: union organizing.
